Our environmental policy

“Grand Massif Domaines Skiables” is developing a strategy to limit its effects on the environment between now and 2030.

For each objective, concrete actions will be taken to avoid and reduce our impact on the environment. Where it is not possible to avoid such impact, compensation measures will be put in place.

You can read more about our objectives for 2030 here:

The Grand Massif commits to a sustainable initiative:

AVOID: Avoid using unnecessary resources through research and setting up solutions.

REDUCE: Reducing our needs and the extent of our impact.

COMPENSATE: Compensating for our residual impact with projects that make a real difference.

OBJECTIVE 1: NET ZERO CARBON

Reducing direct greenhouse gas emissions by the ski area (electricity consumption, fuel consumption by vehicles, especially snow grooming machines, etc…)
Find out more about the objective of Net Zero Carbon.

OBJECTIVE 2: POSITIVE BIODIVERSITY

Reducing our impact on the natural environment and taking positive action (restoration of damaged areas, protection of sensitive zones, enhancement of the natural heritage, etc…). Find out more about the objective of positive biodiversity.

OBJECTIVE 3: MANAGING WATER RESOURCES AND ZERO WASTE LOSS

Taking action to recycle our waste more effectively: improving recycling at source, identifying channels for recovering our specialist waste through recycling or reconditioning.
Understanding our water resources and implementing water-saving measures to ensure a balanced management of our water resources.
