The Gérats chairlift in Flaine suffered an engine failure on Tuesday, January 7 at 11:30 a.m.
As a result, the return to the Pierres & Vacances Eos and Helios residences, the Belambra residence, the Hamlet and the upper part of Flaine Forêt was only done by shuttles.
At the same time, the Forêt ski lift, which provides access to the Gérats chairlift, has been shut down to prevent customers from finding themselves faced with a broken lift.
A new engine from the Doppelmayr supplier was delivered during the day. The teams proceeded to install it as soon as it was received.
At the moment, we are able to confirm the reopening of the Gérats chairlift from Wednesday 8 January.
