For the first time ever in the midst of snow-covered mountains, an e-sport event “Play Grand Massif Smash Cup” is being organised by the Grand Massif Destination association, regrouping the resorts of Flaine, Les Carroz, Morillon, Samoëns and Sixt; in partnership with “We Are Sport”.
This first edition of the Super Smash Bros Ultimate game is open to everyone and is free. How does it work?
– 4 amateur tournaments, 1 in each of the following resorts: on 06/02 in Flaine; on 07/02 in Samoëns; on 08/02 in Morillon and on 09/02 in Les Carroz.
– 1 closing pro tournament on 10th February in Les Carroz, live streaming on Twitch with a €3,500 Cash Prize and to which the 4 best players of each f the 4 amateur tournaments will be invited.
Play Grand Massif Smash Cup is based on a tournament upon registration and free-play for all comers, young and old.
It is open to amateurs, customers and tourists during the qualifying rounds, from 2pm to 8pm. The final will pit the best amateurs against pro players from the French gaming circuit. The Super Smash Bros Ultimate game has a PEGI13 rating (minimum participating age is 13).
Places are limited, registration is free but compulsory on the dedicated Play Grand Massif Smash Cup website until 8pm the evening before each tournament.
