Snow conditions and the responsiveness of the ski area teams have enabled the Carroz and Samoëns ski areas to open early and partially this weekend, December 6 and 7, 2025. The link between the village resorts and Flaine will be open.
For clarification, departing from Samoëns:
– Take the Vercland gondola lift,
– Then the Coulouvrier chairlift via the Aouïa slope,
– To reach the Carroz or Flaine resort.
Following the pre-opening of Flaine, it is now the turn of Les Carroz and Samoëns to join the party. The resorts will be open from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. on Saturday and Sunday.

As a reminder, the official opening date for the Grand Massif, including the resorts of Morillon and Sixt, is Saturday, December 20.
Flaine will be open continuously from Saturday, December 6.
Les Carroz and Samoëns will be open continuously from Saturday, December 13.

Grand Massif rates (Flaine, Les Carroz, Samoëns):
- 1 day Standard (ages 15-74): €39
- 1 day Reduced (ages 8-14): €31.20
- 4 hours Standard (ages 15-74): €35.10
- 4 hours Reduced (ages 8-14): €28.10
Two “Beginner” areas are open:
- Les Carroz: €10 flat rate.
- Samoëns: €12 flat rate.
For Skillico subscribers, discounts are applied to this weekend's “First Snow” rates:
- Saturday, December 6 (-40%): €23.40
- Sunday, December 7 (-10%): €35.10
Season pass holders have direct access to the slopes with their season pass. How to collect your season pass?
Since the pre-opening of Flaine, “Season” passes remain valid.
Those who have topped up their pass online can collect their passes at points of sale or at the ski pass terminals in the resort.
Ticket offices open this weekend:
- In Flaine, at the Grandes Platières gondola lift ticket office, the Aup de Véran ticket office, and at the start of the Grands Vans chairlift.
- In Les Carroz at the Kédeuze gondola lift departure point and in Les Molliets, at the control hut at the Tête des Saix chairlift departure point.
- In Samoëns at the Vercland gondola lift ticket office and in Samoëns 1600.
The ticket offices are open from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m., except for the Samoëns 1600 ticket office, which is open from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m.
Or via the ski pass terminals:
- In Flaine, the terminals located at the Grandes Platières gondola lift departure point.
- In Les Carroz Village, opposite the tourist office, at the gondola lift departure point, and in Les Molliets.
- In Samoëns, at the Grand Massif Express gondola lift and Vercland gondola lift departure points.
