If you're looking for an easy hike in Sixt-Fer-à-Cheval, the Cirque tour is a must. Accessible to all the family, this circular path plunges you into an impressive setting, with limestone cliffs and more than 30 waterfalls gushing from the heights, especially in the spring.

Nicknamed the “Ladies’ Mont-Blanc”, Mont Buet reaches an altitude of 3,096 metres. This ascent is for experienced, well-equipped hikers. From Sixt, the itinerary takes in the Bérard valley, then climbs gradually to offer spectacular views of the Mont-Blanc mountain range, the Aiguilles Rouges and neighbouring Switzerland.

- Duration: approx. 9 to 11 hrs
This hike is often done over two days, with an overnight stay in a mountain hut, but those with a bit more stamina can do the round trip in a day. A must for lovers of wilderness and Alpine challenges.
At an altitude of 1,973 metres, the Grenairon mountain hut is a great hiking destination with a unique panorama of the Sixt and Haut-Giffre valleys. The footpath usually starts from the village of Le Buet or from Salvagny, with a gradual ascent through the forest.

The final gem in this selection, the Lac d'Anterne is a high-altitude lake nestling at 2,067 metres, surrounded by lunar landscapes and high-altitude meadows. From the car park at the Rouget waterfall or from Lignon, the path gradually ascends to a plateau with a breathtaking view of the Fiz mountains.
