Each Grand Massif resort has its own beginner's area. Most notably, the resort of Samoëns has one of the biggest beginner areas in France. The beginner areas of each resort are situated at an altitude of:
- Flaine: 1600m
- Les Carroz: 1300m and 1800m
- Morillon: 1100m
- Samoëns: 1600m
- Sixt: 800m
And for learning to ski, check out the ski schools! If you don't have the patience or are unable to teach your children to ski, the ski schools are an excellent way of acquiring solid skiing or snowboarding skills.
