Travelling back in time with Captain Nemo and his assistant Juliette aboard the Nautilus, a.k.a. the Grandes Plati\u00e8res cable car, is much more than a simple ascent to a summit. It’s an immersive, educational experience that takes you to an altitude of 2,500 meters to explore the mysteries of the D\u00e9sert de Plat\u00e9, a geological site unique in Europe. <\/div>\n

Accessible to all thanks to the Grandes Plati\u00e8res (or DMC Flaine) gondola lift, this emblematic site of the Grand Massif offers breathtaking panoramic views of Mont Blanc and the surrounding Alpine ranges.
\nBeneath your feet lies a mineral desert carved by time: lapiaz, a limestone formation carved out by water and glaciers. This almost lunar landscape is also the remnant of an ancient seabed, millions of years old.
