Frying oil in our vehicles…

100% of our snow groomers now run on HVO, a sustainable fuel that reduces our carbon footprint. Deployment extends to 4×4 vehicles and the heating of certain buildings, such as the DMC arrival station. Impact: -93% emissions. A major step forward in combining performance and respect for the environment.

And electric?

At Grand Massif Domaines Skiables, we’re going electric! Electric snow groomers are being tested to prove their performance in real-life conditions. A 100% electric Dacia Spring is already being used by a member of staff for her daily commute. And tomorrow… electric 4×4s?

Purchase of green electricity since 2020

For green energy, Grand Massif Domaines Skiables relies on the Compagnie Nationale du Rhône (CNR), a major player in the production of renewable electricity in France. This partnership enables us to guarantee a supply of energy from sustainable sources, in line with our commitment to energy transition and reducing our carbon footprint.

The sobriety plan in place since 2023

We adapt the speed of our installations according to the number of visitors and/or our opening hours. This initiative is in line with the profession’s national commitments and aims to reduce our energy impact, while maintaining quality of service for our customers. The aim is to consume less whenever possible, without compromising safety, comfort or access to the domain.

Sub-metering tools in our buildings

We deploy sub-metering tools in our buildings to better manage and reduce our energy consumption. We have 44 meters, 26 of which are single-use and the rest multi-use. This approach enables us to identify usage, optimize settings and implement targeted actions to improve our energy performance, in line with our environmental commitments.

Energy audits

Since winter 2024, we have been carrying out energy audits on our office premises. The aim is to reduce our energy consumption by 40% by 2030 and 60% by 2050. At the same time, regular monitoring is carried out by a specialist company (CITRON), to support our continuous improvement process. Each year, a comprehensive audit will highlight areas for improvement to enhance our energy performance and reduce our environmental impact.
