Smart Skiing
Ski smart on the Grand Massif
Flaine, Les Carroz, Morillon, Samoëns & SixtFor the record, it takes about an hour to get from Flaine to the village resorts (Les Carroz, Morillon, Samoëns, and Sixt).
On busy days, the return trip often takes about an hour. So, we’ve adopted a simple (and effective) rule in the resort: “Smart Skiing”.
In other words, starting your return journey at 3 p.m. – or even earlier – allows you to avoid waiting at the main ski lifts and enjoy a much smoother end to the day.
It just goes to show that sometimes, good timing makes all the difference!
Useful information
Hop on one of the 60 open ski lifts in the area!
Across all five resorts, there are 60 ski lifts open, allowing you to travel between the village resorts (Les Carroz, Morillon, and Samoëns) and Flaine. The connection between Sixt and the other stations is not possible due to the lack of snow on the “Cascades” slope.
To best prepare for your day of skiing, check the live status of the lifts and slopes on the page “Info/Live”.
