In winter, the refuge becomes unguarded, but remains open to all adventurers.
Description
At the top of the ladder, a simple but welcoming winter dormitory awaits you, offering 6 beds with mattresses and blankets. Simply pack your warm sleeping bag and enjoy this unique space in the heart of nature.
Complément accueil
There is no heating, electricity or picnic room on site. Please leave with your rubbish. Finally, as we are in the Désert... de Platé, there is no water point.

Localisation
Park in car park P2, then take the 15-minute walk to the Grandes Platières cable car at Flaine Forum. Before your visit, check the opening dates of the resort and the ski lifts, which are generally open from December to April.
Please note: the refuge is located off the slopes, in an unsafe area, requiring special equipment. From the Grandes Platières, you can descend to the refuge, but there is no lift to take you back to the summit.

Reservations are not possible, and places are limited to 5 people.

Pets are not allowed in the Sixt-Fer-à-Cheval / Passy Nature Reserve, in the Grandes Platières cable car or in the dormitories of the Refuge de Platé.
On the other hand, dogs are authorized outside these limits, on a leash and on the terrace only.
Watch out for herds and herding dogs.
