Tour de l’Avenir
Tour de l'Avenir 2026
MONDAY 24 AUGUST
The Flaine road (RD 106) will be closed to traffic in both directions from 13:00 to 18:00 between the centre of Les Carroz (the roundabout in front of the tourist office) and the Col de Pierre Carrée.
This means that during this period:
no possibility of travelling between Les Carroz and Flaine and back,
all junctions where our streets meet this road will be closed (Route du Serveray, Route de Flaine, Route de Bardella, Chemin de la Cretaz, Impasse des Ronziers, Route du Bry, Chemin de Barlet, Route du Bry, Route du Pernand, Route des Feux, Chemin des Framboisiers, Chemin de la Sarbotte),
no access to the Airon, Vernant or Pierre Carrée car parks,
no shuttle buses between Les Carroz and Flaine (service will run until midday),
the recycling centre will be closed all afternoon.
We therefore urge all users (locals, residents and holidaymakers) to make alternative arrangements on that day if you need to travel during these times, so as not to be stopped by the police.
Temporary changes to traffic flow will be introduced in Les Carroz from Sunday evening (further details to follow).
TUESDAY 25 AUGUST
The 6th stage of the Tour de l’Avenir sets off from the commune of Châtillon-sur-Cluses and heads towards Savoie via the RD 1205 through the Arve Valley. This route will also affect traffic for our road users.
From 8.00 am to 12.00 pm, the RD 6 between Châtillon and La Frasse will be closed at the Balmotte junction in the direction of the Châtillon roundabout. It will therefore not be possible to access the Giffre and Arve valleys via the RD 6 during these times.
From 11.00, the cyclists will take the 1205 road and descend the Col de Châtillon towards Cluses, meaning this section will be closed to traffic from 10.30.
From 11.00 until approximately 11.45, the roundabout in the hamlet of Balme (Magland) will be closed. It will therefore not be possible to travel to Cluses or Sallanches when approaching from Arâches.
