Let’s ski smart!
Last Update
The latest natural avalanche flows and the avalanche releases carried out at certain sites for your safety mean that some lifts need to be inspected. These include :
- Gers ski lift in Flaine: reopening in the next few days
However, this snow accumulation augurs well for keeping the Combe de Gers open until the end of the season. And that’s assuming winter conditions remain within normal seasonal limits.
Useful information
To make the most of your day on the slopes, plan your return to the resort before 3:30pm!
For the record, from Flaine, it takes around 1 hour to reach the village resorts (Les Carroz, Morillon, Samoëns and Sixt).
On busy days, the return trip is often just an hour away. That’s why we’ve adopted a simple (and effective) “Skions futés” rule.
In other words, being committed to the return trip as early as 3:30 p.m. – or even earlier – means avoiding the wait at the main lifts and enjoying a much smoother end to the day.
Just goes to show that sometimes the right timing makes all the difference!
Board one of the 60 open lifts in the area!
In all 5 resorts, 60 lifts are open, linking the village resorts (Les Carroz, Morillon and Samoëns) with Flaine.
To help you prepare for your day’s skiing, check the “Info/Live” page for live updates on lift and slope opening times.
