The Cascades slope

The Cascades slope: jewel of the Grand Massif ski area.

Due to its distance, this blue slope offers a 14km walk from the summit of the Grandes Platières in Flaine at 2500m altitude to the village of Sixt Fer à Cheval at 760m.

A ski experience accessible to good skiers and lovers of the great outdoors. The distance is indeed to be taken into account in relation to your level of skiing.

It takes between 1 hour and 1 hour and 45 minutes of descent depending on how you want to do it.

Whether from the resort of FLAINE or from the VILLAGES resorts, this slope is open to holders of a GRAND MASSIF ski pass. This ski pass gives access to the entire ski area.

Its itinerary is by ski throughout the descent, then by shuttle from the village of Sixt to the departure of the Grand Massif Express gondola in Samoëns for a return by ski to your home resort.

In order to prepare your return to the resort, it is important to take note of the schedules of the Cascades shuttle. This is the GREEN line. Consult the timetables via the following document on page 31.
