Summer opening of the Grand Massif

Flaine, Les Carroz, Morillon & Samoëns
With spring just around the corner, here are the opening dates for summer 2026 at the resorts in the Grand Massif.

The first to kick off the summer season is Les Carroz, followed by Samoëns, and finally Flaine and Morillon:

  • Les Carroz: from Saturday 20 June to Sunday 6 September (Kédeuze gondola lift) and from Saturday 4 July to Sunday 30 August (Gron chairlift).
  • Samoëns: from Saturday 27 June to Sunday 30 August for the Grand Massif Express gondola lift, and from Saturday 4 July to Sunday 30 August for the Chariande Express chairlift.
  • Morillon: from Saturday 4 July to Sunday 30 August (Morillon gondola lift and Sairon chairlift).
  • Flaine: from Saturday 4 July to Friday 28 August (Grandes Platières cable car).

Practical information for the summer

You can book your pass online via our website or the Grand Massif app.

You can also purchase from one of the following outlets:

  • Flaine -Grandes Platières cable car
  • Les Carroz – Kédeuze Cable Car – from 2 June to 6 September, 9am to 5pm (ticket offices and ticket machines),
  • Morillon Village – gondola departure point,
  • Morillon les Esserts – at the Sairon chairlift control hut,
  • Samoëns – Grand Massif Express gondola.

Please note that bookings for ‘Morillon Lac & Montagne’, ‘Le Splash’, ‘Mountain Kart’ and ‘Gravity Zéro’ can only be made in person at the ticket office.

Check the opening status of the ski lifts at the resorts of Flaine, Les Carroz, Morillon and Samoëns.

For each resort, you can park in the resort center or at the entrance gates to the ski area.

  • At the Flaine resort, car parks P1 (Flaine Front de Neige), P2 (Flaine Forum) and P3 (Flaine Forêt) are open and free of charge. There is also a free car park at the Col de Pierre Carrée, which can be reached by free shuttle buses.
  • In Les Carroz, you’ll find free parking at the Kédeuze gondola lift station.
  • In Morillon Village, there is free parking just a few minutes’ walk from the gondola lift and not far from Lac Bleu.
  • In Morillon les Essert, the resort car park is open and free of charge.
  • And finally, in Samoëns, the car park for the Grand Massif Express gondola lift is free from 16 April to 14 December.

The shuttle network operates at the following stations:

  • Flaine & Les Carroz: free shuttle buses run between these two resorts. The shuttles stop at several bus stops, providing starting points for hikes. Find out more…
  • And in the Giffre Valley (Morillon, Samoëns and Sixt): a network of paid shuttle buses makes it easy to travel throughout the valley from Mieussy to Sixt-Fer-à-Cheval, including the resorts of Morillon and Samoëns, and to particularly popular sites (the Praz de Lys and Sommand plateaus, the Col de Joux Plane, the lakes of Morillon and Samoëns, the Rouget Waterfall, Lignon and the Fer-à-Cheval Cirque).
