Hiking in the Grand Massif: an amazing experience.

Are you looking for a destination where nature reigns supreme, with unforgettable panoramas and itineraries accessible to all? Whether you’re a leisurely walker or an experienced hiker, hiking in the Grand Massif opens the gates to five areas each with their own varied and complementary identities. Dense forests, mountain pastures in bloom, roaring waterfalls, breathtaking viewpoints… Where, every step brings you closer to nature’s core.

From spring to autumn, the Grand Massif’s footpaths promise total immersion in vibrant mountain life, where fauna, flora and local heritage come together to tell a unique story at every turn. It’s a land of emotions, where you can disconnect from everyday life and reconnect with yourself and the environment.

A few useful tips for your hiking trips:

If there are thunderstorms about, the ski lifts do not operate and we advise against using the footpaths.

On the subject of pets, especially your four-legged companions:
– They must be on a lead or in a harness to protect the area’s flora and fauna.
– Pets are not allowed in the Grandes Platières cable car (DMC) in Flaine because of the nature reserve at the top of the lift.
– You should contact the mountain huts or tourist offices to find out whether they will accept your pet.
