In winter, the Désert de Platé is covered in a thick layer of snow. However, you still have the chance to admire the Mont Blanc massif, enjoy a meal on the terrace or take a short walk at an altitude of 2,500m.

Tarifs

If you use the Grandes Platières cable car to access the Désert de Platé, you will need to pay either a pedestrian ticket or a ski pass.

From 06/12/2025 to 19/04/2026 daily between 9 am and 4 pm.
The Désert de Platé is accessible on foot or on skis via the Grandes Platières cable car.

Localisation

Whether you're a pedestrian or a skier, you can reach the summit of the Grandes Platières via the cable car of the same name. In winter, the Désert de Platé is part of the Grand Massif ski area.

No booking is necessary for access to the summit of the Grandes Platières.
