From the summit of Tête des Saix to Lac de Gers
Departure: Samoëns – GME gondola, then Chariande Express chairlift
Duration: 5 h
Public / level of difficulty: regular / medium walkers
Ascent: 241m
Negative altitude gain: 1659m
Itinerary :
- From the top of the Chariande Express chairlift, follow the wide track down to your left. At Col de Vernant, leave the track leading to Lac de Vernant and follow the path up to Grands Vans.
- Take the chairlift to the Grands Vans pass. The route now leaves the Grand Massif ski area.
- Follow the path downhill on your left through the Lanches Fleuries to the Gers basin, then follow a wide path to the lake and the Gers refuge.
L’Émerveillement sans Effort: Mont Blanc from Tête des Saix
Let yourself be gently transported to the Tête des Saix, an exceptional site offering one of the region’s most prized views. In just a few minutes, you’ll reach a summit where the air is pure and the view is grandiose.
- Leave from the village and take the Grand Massif Express gondola.
- After a 15-minute walk through the alpine meadows, take the Chariande Express chairlift up to the summit for a spectacular view!
