What is Mountain Kart?
The Mountain Kart is a three-wheel all-terrain kart specially designed for mountain slopes. Motorless and totally silent, it is controlled by gravity. You control your speed with two disc brakes, for a safe descent. Its wide, stable design makes it ultra-maneuverable, even for beginners.
Accessible from a minimum height of 1m40, this activity is perfect for the whole family: children, teenagers, parents and even grandparents can enjoy this experience at their own pace. The backdrop is the sumptuous scenery of Flaine and the Grand Massif, from lush green alpine meadows to immaculate slopes. You’ll never look at the mountains the same way again after this thrilling, panoramic go-karting experience.

In "Sport" mode – The favorite activity of teens and friendsThis is the ultimate winter activity in Flaine for groups of friends, teenagers seeking an adrenaline rush, or young adults keen to try something other than skiing. Departure is from the Aup de Véran gondola, with a safety briefing before the big thrill.

When is Mountain Karting right for you?
One session per day throughout the season, subject to snow conditions.
- December 18 to January 23: activity starts at 3:30pm
- From January 24 to estate closure: activity starts at 4:15pm

Mountain Kart in summer
En mode "Balade" – The fun family activityThe course has been adapted to allow everyone to enjoy the sensations without apprehension: the bends are gentle, the slopes moderate, and the whole thing is supervised by an attentive team. Parents are reassured, and children are thrilled. Helmets are provided, and safety recommendations are given before each descent.
The activity can be booked at the Grandes Platières (DMC) cable car ticket office.
The minimum age for Mountain Karting is 12, accompanied by an adult up to and including age 15. The minimum height allowed is 1m40.
Equipment required :
- Gloves, appropriate clothing and footwear.
- Helmet compulsory.
